Take control of your home’s energy

Is Solar right for you?

Are you worried about the environment and what kind of world we’re leaving for our children? Do you feel like utility companies have got you by the throat with their endless rate increases? Do you want to make a difference, reduce your carbon footprint, and become energy independent all at the same time?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we’ve got just the thing for you.

Switch to clean, renewable solar energy. It’s the future, and it’s a future we can start building today. Say goodbye to the uncertainty of rate increases and the guilt of leaving a bigger carbon footprint. It’s time to take control of our energy future. Let’s choose clean, renewable solar energy and create a better world for generations to come.

Why solar in San Diego?

We don’t have to tell you that San Diego’s energy costs are through the roof. In fact, they’re the highest on the mainland and let’s be real, only Hawaii beats us. But that’s where SWG Energy comes in. We’re here to give you a choice, to break away from SDGE and take control of your energy costs.

If you’re tired of paying those sky-high SDGE bills, it’s time to do something about it. With SWG Energy, you can have your own personal power plant, right on your roof or property. Imagine, if your energy bill was $2,500, with SWG Energy it could be as low as $50 a year. That’s a savings of $2,450 in the first year, and it just goes up from there with SDGE’s annual rate increases.

The money you save, you could pay for your solar energy system in just a few short years. And the best part? You’ll reduce your dependence on SDGE by 97%, they’ll only have 3% of your business. So why wait? Make the switch to SWG Energy and take control of your energy costs today.

Net Metering (NEM 3.0)

The CPUC recently made a decision that’s going to affect Californians who care about clean energy and reducing their carbon footprint. On December 15th, 2022, THE CPUC voted to approve NEM 3.0 which, unfortunately, reduces the compensation rates for new solar customers by a whopping 75%.

You’ve got until April 14th, 2023 to submit your interconnection application and lock in the NEM 2.0 rates for the next 20 years. So, if you’ve already gone solar or you’re thinking about it, now’s the time to act. Any customer who has already made the switch to solar will be grandfathered into your original net metering policy.

And here’s a tip for those who are still on the fence – if you want to take advantage of solar savings even under NEM 3.0, consider adding a battery storage system to your installation. So, don’t wait, California, act now and secure your savings for the next 20 years.

Installation

Residential solar energy systems are installed within 2 to 4 days depending on the system size and complexity of the installation.

Installation

Commercial installations of course are larger and more complex so they take longer.

Roof integrity

In business for 16 years we have never had a roof leak as a result of our work.

Only the best

We use only the best longest warrantied flashing systems and sealants. If we do it correctly the first time, we never have to come back to fix a leak. And that’s the way we like it!

Maintenance

Except for washing panels that get very dusty and that also is solved by a heavy rain, there is no maintenance other than washing it with a hose.

Monitoring

Every solar or battery system we install provides Smart Phone and Computer Monitoring. One look at your phone and you can see how much energy your solar energy system produced and saved in the battery system.

Intuitive monitoring

If something is not working properly the monitoring system sends us an alert, so we can correct the issue, which more often than not is an issue with your internet modem/router.

The benefits of solar energy in Southern California

You don’t have to look far to notice the benefits of going solar firsthand. From a financial standpoint, it can be a real game-changer. By harnessing the power of the sun, you’re not only cutting down on those monthly electricity bills but also investing in a brighter future. And the best part is, there are plenty of government incentives to help offset the cost of installation.

Going solar is not only good for your wallet, but it’s also good for the environment. Solar energy is a clean, renewable source of power that doesn’t produce any harmful emissions or pollutants. It’s our duty to do our part in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and protecting our planet for future generations.

As solar energy grows in popularity, more and more people are asking themselves if installing solar panels is worth it. With the surge of interest and government incentives, the answer is clear: yes!
Solar energy is always available, as long as the sun is shining and is a never-ending resource. By going solar, you reduce your reliance on finite fossil fuels and their negative impact on the environment.

But it’s not just good for the planet, it’s also good for your wallet. By powering your home with solar, you’re taking control of your energy bills. No longer do you have to pay the utility for each kilowatt-hour you use. Instead, you own the source of production, and your cost is fixed. And with the option to add a solar battery storage system, you can even become energy independent and have a built-in emergency power backup.

The investment in a solar system may seem daunting at first, but the long-term savings are worth it. On average, the break-even point is just a few short years, and the benefits will last for decades. Plus, solar systems require minimal maintenance.

As an added bonus: going solar can even increase the value of your home. Studies have shown that every dollar saved on your electricity bill can increase your home’s value by $20. And homes with solar power often sell for 4% more than similar homes without.

Finally, let’s talk about tax incentives. Under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, there’s a 30% Tax Credit available through 2032. That’s substantial savings, and if you owe less in taxes than the credit, the balance can carry forward to future years until it’s exhausted. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s make the switch to solar today.

The guys at SWG Energy are top notch. We did our homework and interviewed several solar companies before selecting them. I highly recommend these guys if you want to work with a company who will be transparent, and see the job through.

Erin C., Carlsbad, CA, Client

SWG Energy did the install quickly, cleanly and efficiently. They were very professional, easy to work with, and did everything they said they were going to do. They not only took the time to properly size the system for our new home, but they also set us up so we could easily add more panels or battery storage in the future.
